A Special Commission Native American (First Nation's) Muskrat Fur Bear
I'm pleased to introduce Abeytu to you! She has taken many enjoyable hours to create and has been looking forward to meeting you...
Abeytu is a sweet one of a kind super soft recycled blonde muskrat fur (recycled from a coat) teddy bear. She is completely designed and completely handsewn by me, Melisa Nichols. She is her own unique individual and, because of the detailed artistic work, can not be duplicated ~ a true one of a kind.
Abeytu means "green leaf" in one of the First Nation's languages.
Abeytu is so soft to the touch that you'll have a hard time putting her down!
Abeytu has a wobble neck and sturdy wire armature in her arms and legs, so she has a variety of cute poses... these pictures just show a few.
Abeytu is 14" high when seated and is 22" long.
Abeytu's eyes are beautiful paperweight glass doll eyes in green. They are very expressive! She has leather eyelids and soft black eyelashes.
I scuplted Abeytu's nose with green floss & shaded it. Her mouth is thread sculpted and shaded.
I scissor sculpted Abeytu's face and hand shaded it.
Abeytu comes with her beautiful First Nation's (Native American) style beaded fringe necklace which I hand beaded using leather, thread and glass beads. This necklace is made so that her new mom can wear it too, if she would like to!
Abeytu has leather paw & foot pads - all four have been thread sculpted and shaded. Her ears are nicely curved and shaded inside.
Abeytu is completely handsewn and cotter pin and disc jointed 5 ways. She is filled with polyfill and an extra portion of cuddles ~ she has lots of pellets in her tummy for weight.
Abeytu will arrive with a signed, dated and laminated tag. She is a collectable bear made for display only - not suitable for children due to small parts ~ however, she loves to be cuddled by young ones under adult supervision.
